Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 10, 2026
This website, getamrita.com ("the Site"), is operated for Amrita Life Dental Care, part of The Amma Shop (theammashop.org). All proceeds from Amrita Life products benefit Embracing the World's charitable initiatives. This policy explains what information the Site collects, how it is used, and the choices you have.
Information we collect
- Email address (newsletter). If you sign up for our newsletter discount, the email address you enter is currently stored only in your own browser's local storage on your device. It is not transmitted to or stored on our servers.
- Advertising and analytics data. With your consent (see "Cookies and consent" below), Google Ads (gtag.js) and the Meta (Facebook) Pixel collect information about your visit — such as pages viewed, device and browser information, IP address, and interactions like newsletter sign-ups — to measure advertising performance.
- Consent record. Our consent tool (Cookiebot by Usercentrics) sets a cookie recording your cookie-consent choices.
- Server logs. Our hosting provider (Netlify) may log standard technical data such as IP address and request time to deliver and secure the Site.
The Site does not sell products directly. Purchases are made on Amazon.com, which is governed by Amazon's own privacy policy.
How we use information
- To measure and improve the effectiveness of our advertising (Google Ads, Meta)
- To remember your consent choices
- To operate, secure, and improve the Site
Cookies and consent
We use Cookiebot to manage consent. Advertising and analytics tags on this Site do not run unless permitted under the rules that apply to your region:
- EU / EEA / UK visitors see an opt-in banner; no marketing or statistics tags run until you click "Allow."
- US and other visitors: tags run by default, and you may opt out at any time using the "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" link in the footer or the floating cookie icon.
- Global Privacy Control (GPC): if your browser sends a GPC signal, we automatically treat it as an opt-out and marketing tags do not run.
You can review or change your choices at any time: open cookie settings.
Sharing of information
We share visit data with Google and Meta only as described above and only where permitted by your consent choices. Their use of data is described in Google's Privacy Policy and Meta's Privacy Policy. Under California law, this kind of advertising disclosure may be considered "sharing" of personal information; you can opt out as described below. We do not sell personal information for money, and we do not share your newsletter email with anyone (it stays in your browser).
Your California privacy rights (CCPA/CPRA)
If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act, gives you the right to:
- Know what categories of personal information we collect and how we use them (described in this policy)
- Access the personal information we hold about you
- Delete personal information we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate personal information
- Opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information — use the Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information link, the floating cookie icon, or enable Global Privacy Control in your browser
- Non-discrimination — we will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights
To exercise access, deletion, or correction rights, email privacy@amma.org. We will verify your request and respond within 45 days as required by law.
EU / EEA / UK visitors (GDPR)
Where the GDPR or UK GDPR applies, marketing tags run only with your prior consent, which you may withdraw at any time via the cookie settings link above. You also have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and objection, and the right to lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority. Contact: privacy@amma.org.
Data retention
Consent records are kept for as long as required to demonstrate compliance. Advertising data is retained by Google and Meta per their policies. The newsletter email in your browser's local storage remains until you clear your browser data.
Children
The Site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date above reflects the latest revision.
